Etching Prints
Etching process prints, created for Intro to Printmaking, SP25
Metal etching process prints of my Alohas. These prints follow the process of the same steel plate, and I used a combination directly marking into the plate and covering the plate in hard ground, a acid resistent material, etching into the hard ground so bare steel is exposed, and leaving the plate in acid baths to reveal more steel and create rougher lines/areas of the plate where more ink can sit in the plate so it transfers onto paper darkly. This was my first printmaking project, so it was definitely a learning experience but fun nonetheless.
